Our 2020 Winning Couples
How can we honor military couples and their families and show them that they are deserving of a dream wedding? With the help of our amazing marketing team, Walters Wedding Estates launched our first contest January 2020 and the response was overwhelming! So many deserving couples and amazing stories of sacrifice. The only issue we have had is that we had over 150 applicants and only 21 venues to host weddings at. Honestly, we were blown away and tears were flowing reading through all the stories. So many with similar stories and feelings that a big wedding just wasn’t in the cards and seemed, for lack of better words, “unnecessary” or “too indulgent.” These are exactly the couples that we want to reach.

Lisa & Charles
Though the distance made it difficult at times, they both learned to lean on each other.
Mariah & Chris
She dreamed of a big wedding but knew that the reality of that dream was likely never to be – things just didn’t work out that way.
Megan & Madison
I keep the values and discipline engraved into me and will continue to do so for the rest of my life.
Melissa & Chris
We are elated to continue to sacrifice for this country and each other, as we begin the rest of our lives together.
Nancy & Richard
We postponed our wedding to August of 2020; however, our wedding coordinator lost his business and we were out the money after we had paid in full.
Ryan & Cody
We have been through 2 stateside missions and 1 overseas deployment while being together. Christmas of 2019 I was allowed leave from my current mission and we became engaged on December 25th, 2019.
Sarah & Kyle
Financial struggles and poor timing have prevented us from marrying sooner, but now the time is finally right for us to get married.
Tiffany & Hardin
Hardin was called for deployment and left in December 2019. There is no end date yet, but they are extremely ecstatic and happy to have won such an amazing contest.
