Ryan & Cody
“I knew from that first date I was going to marry him one day.”
Cody and I grew up just a few streets away from each other (without even knowing). I remember always seeing my across-the-street neighbor and his friends play on their skateboards out front, turns out one of those boys was Cody.
We did go to the same high school; however, Cody was a grade ahead of me, so we never really crossed paths. When Cody graduated in 2009, he joined the Marines and spent time in Afghanistan. In 2013, his contract ended from the Marines. During my Junior/Senior summer of HS I enlisted into the Texas Army National Guard and am currently still in. Cody and I met officially in May of 2013. Our first date he took me to play mini golf, which was unfair because he’s basically a pro at golf. June 2nd, 2013 Cody officially asked me to be his girlfriend and we literally shook on it. A handshake I will never forget.

Cody has been by my side and incredibly supportive of my Military Career since day one. We have been through 2 stateside missions and 1 overseas deployment while being together. Christmas of 2019 I was allowed leave from my current mission and we became engaged on December 25th, 2019.
