Sarah & Kyle

Financial struggles and poor timing have prevented us from marrying sooner, but now the time is finally right for us to get married.
— Sarah

Kyle and I met nearly 11 years ago in the Air Force at our first base assignment in Tacoma, WA. We saw each other in the BX and began talking, but Kyle never got my number.

Kyle searched for me around the base until he finally found me in the dining facility several days later and got the courage to ask for my number. That day, even though we were working opposite shifts, at 1AM, we went on our first date at Denny’s. After that day, we were inseparable.

Through our time in the military, we both deployed (nearly back to back), spent holidays apart, and worked opposing shifts all without the support of our family who lived in the south. Our relationship struggled, but still survived.

After three years, I left the military and found my calling in nursing. After I finished nursing school we moved to Dallas where we have lived since 2016. Since then, I have started Nurse Practitioner school, and Kyle has a job in the oil and gas investments industry.

Financial struggles and poor timing have prevented us from marrying sooner, but now the time is finally right for us to get married.

With returning to the south, both of us feel at home and our relationship has blossomed into something we never thought it could be. We have grown so much in the past decade as a couple and as individuals and we can’t wait to see what the next decade holds for us.
