Aubrey & Caleb
“We have grown so much through this, and we’re thankful for it all.”
Caleb and I met in the 5th grade but got to know each other very well in Junior High when we had all 8 classes together for 2 years straight. Caleb would play with my hair in English class, and I would always hope he’d sit next to me at lunch.
During high school, Caleb began to experience a lot of life change. Through two major knee injuries, and the sadness that brought him as a football player, he started to search for a greater purpose in life, and he found that in following Jesus. He later shared the depths of this story with me, and we became very close and started dating, seeing we were on the same path and had the same connection we had always felt. We loved to laugh together, be active, discuss faith in Jesus, and spend so much time together.
During our senior year, Caleb made the decision to commit to The United States Military Academy, due to a strong calling he had felt to serve in the US Army.
He was soon sent off to boot camp once we graduated, and our next few years consisted of many “FaceTime dates”, plane tickets, Military events, and the heartache of long distance. We have grown so much through this, and we’re thankful for it all. This past January Caleb proposed on the east coast beach! We are overjoyed to begin our life together of service to God and to the United States of America.
