Wyatt and I first met when we were Freshman and Sophomores in high school.
We met in our Spanish 1 class, and for a while Wyatt thought I hated him because he would constantly ask to borrow paper for notes. Fast forward and we've been together for over 6 1/2 years! We've grown so much as individuals since high school, as well as in our relationship. College was something I knew I'd always be doing after I graduated, but for Wyatt it was something different.
Wyatt knew he wouldn't be going to college because he knew he was going to sign up for the Marine Corps.
It made me nervous, but I knew I had to support his dreams and, in the fall of 2018, Wyatt started his journey in the Marine Corps. It was really hard for a while; getting used to being on different schedules and not being with each other.
However, we made it work because we knew at the end of the day our relationship could overcome any obstacle.
It hasn't been easy, but life and relationships are never easy. We're both so thankful for this experience because we've learned a lot about one another, and our bond and love for one another has continued to grow.
